A Few Words

About Us

The Pelham NH Council on Aging is managed by a Board of Directors. This board is elected by people who are members of the Council on Aging (COA) at an annual meeting on the third Thursday in April. The COA is always looking for volunteers to join the COA Board of Directors. If you are interested in becoming a board member. Contact-Us

COA members are welcome to attend COA board meetings which are typically held on the second Monday of the month. Minutes of these meetings are posted at the COA Office located at Hobbs Community Center.

Why Join the COA?

Stronger Voice

Because the COA advocates for services and supports for older adults. The larger our membership, the louder our voice will be, and the more successful we will be in bringing important services to older adults in our community. Membership also has financial advantages and provides members a discount on trips and large events, like the annual Christmas party. Members also receive a bi-monthly newsletter and calendar, which describes services and activities offered in the community.  As the COA membership grows, so does our ability to provide more programs and supports for our community.

Mission

Build an Age-Friendly Community

The Pelham NH Council on Aging (COA) educates the community about issues affecting older adults, provides outreach and assists in enriching the lives of older adults. The COA is committed to ensuring that no older adult, living in Pelham NH or the surrounding communities, is left isolated and/or lonely. To that end, the COA raises funds, solicits and trains volunteers, and provides support and services, that benefit older adults. The COA’s focus is on creating a more just, inclusive, age-friendly community and in influencing other organizations to do the same. Together we can create a community that is better for all of us along life’s journey!
