Celebration Park Day

Help Us Grow Something Beautiful! 🌿 Donate Your Extra Plants 🌿 and Join Us to Plant the New Shade Garden at Celebration Park

Where: Celebration Park, 8 Nashua Road, Pelham, NH
Tentative Planting Weekend: May 31 (Final date based on volunteer availability)

What’s Celebration Park? Nestled behind the Hobbs Community Center, Celebration Park is one of Pelham’s newest jewels—a peaceful, wheelchair-accessible outdoor space filled with trees and shrubs that honor the lives of family, friends, and beloved pets. Now, we’re adding a Shade Garden to make it even more welcoming.

We Need Your Help! We’re looking for garden lovers (or anyone who enjoys fresh air and community spirit) to help us plant the new shade garden.

🪴 No experience necessary—just a willingness to dig in and get your hands dirty!

🪴 We also need 80 hosta plants to line the back fence. Got extras in your garden? Let us know—we can even pick them up!

🪴 We also need other shade and flowering plants – astilbe, hellebores, cone flowers, black eyed susans, day lilies, any plants that you have to spare.   We can dig and pick up.

Why Now? This spring, we’re finishing the final phase of Celebration Park:
✔️ Cleaning up the stone wall and fence line
✔️ Preparing planting beds with fresh topsoil
✔️ Installing a lush shade garden
✔️ Restoring the lawn and adjusting irrigation
✔️ Refreshing mulch around trees and plantings

We’ve hired a contractor to handle the heavy lifting, but to save costs and build community ownership, we need volunteers to plant the garden.

Please contact Yvonne at Pelhampathways@gmail.com to sign up or coordinate a plant pick-up.

Let’s bring the community together and grow something beautiful for Pelham!
