The Pelham NH Council on Aging held a Donor Recognition Ceremony on October 12th to celebrate the official opening of the newly built Pickleball Courts and Celebration Park at 8 Nashua Road in Pelham. This incredible achievement was made possible through the generous support of 8 non-profit agencies, 2 town departments, 20 local businesses and an astounding 139 individual donors. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to some of the most significant contributors: Arrow Container ServicesHirsh Logging & Lumber, Pelham Community Spirit, Pelham Community Thrift Store, Pelham Highway and Parks & Recreation Departments, Jean Guy’s Used Car & Parts, Jason Croteau of RGA Tire & Auto Repair, Rob Bertini of Pappathan Insurance Agency, Paul Gagnon, John  & Sheryl Mara and Titus Plomaritus. Lance Ouellette, A Handy Company, LLC of Pelham played a pivotal role in constructing the Celebration Park, handling debris removal, irrigation installation, tree and shrub planting, grass seeding and creating perennial beds. We would also like to recognize Roger Montbleau, known as ”Mr. Bluebird”, for his generous contribution of Bluebird Houses, aligning his mission to preserve local wildlife and promote a thriving bluebird population.

The success of this project transcends the physical spaces; it serves as a testament to what can be achieved thorough community teamwork, collaboration, cooperation and financial support. The Pickleball Courts and Celebration Park stand as a reminder that together we can achieve remarkable things. The strength of our community lies in its people. The heartwarming aspect of this project is that it is accessible, free and open to everyone in the community. These facilities are not limited to a select few, they are here for all of us to enjoy and benefit from. They are a testament to what we can accomplish when we come together. Truly, “Community Unity is the Heart of Our Park”.
